How to Fix a Blank Clock on the Navigation System of a 2007‐2011 Chevy Suburban

Do you have no hour or minute digits showing where your clock should be? Are you having trouble fixing the clock in navigation's main settings? This problem can happen when you are working on your car or have had to disconnect the battery. Here are the steps to getting your clock back. These steps will also work on other GM vehicles with the same navigation system.

Part 1 of 2:
Getting the Clock Back

Put the vehicle’s ignition in ON position or start up the engine. The navigation system should turn on.

Press the Menu button. The menu screen should have the following tabs: Sound, Radio, Nav, Display, and the clock showing a colon " : "

Tap on Display. This should show the following menu options: Display Off, Brightness/Contrast/Mode, Rear Camera Options.

Press and hold the bottom left corner of the screen. When you press and hold for a few seconds, the screen will show "Enter PIN Code" and a number pad appears.

Enter the PIN. Using the number pad, enter: 295660.

Tap OK once you have typed in the PIN.

Tap Next Page. You should now have a diagnostic menu appear on the screen. Here you have a range of menu options like Software Info, Navigation Info. You need to find "Set Time", by tapping on "Next Page".

Tap on Set Time. This should be one of the menu options.

Set your current date and time. There will be up and down arrows for Year, Month, Date, Hour, Minute, and Second.

Tap Set once you have input all of the information.

Tap Back twice to go back to the Display tab. The clock should now appear and currently in 24hr format.

Part 2 of 2:
Switching From 12 to 24 Hour Clock

Tap on the clock tab.

Change the time. Under that tab you can now change the time whenever you want to as it now works.

On the bottom of the screen, it will show 12/24 Format with two options corresponding to it (12,24). Tap on "12" or "24" as desired.
